Refund Policy

At AUSTTAA, we strive to provide valuable services and experiences to our alumni community. This refund policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for membership fees and event registration fees. All services are delivered instantly upon payment confirmation.

1. Membership Fees

Annual membership fees (BDT 1,000) and lifetime membership fees (BDT 30,000) are generally non-refundable. However, refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:

  • Request made within 7 days of payment and no services have been utilized
  • Duplicate payment made in error
  • Technical error resulting in incorrect charge amount
  • Membership eligibility issues identified by AUSTTAA administration
  • Lifetime membership refund requests within 30 days (subject to 15% administrative fee)

2. Event Registration Refunds

Event registration fees for seminars, workshops, networking events, and other AUSTTAA activities are subject to the following refund timeline:

  • More than 14 days before event: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
  • 7-14 days before event: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before event: No refund (transfer to another member may be permitted with approval)
  • Event cancellation by AUSTTAA: Full refund or credit toward future events

3. Instant Service Activation

All services, including membership activation, mobile app access, event credentials, and digital resources, are activated instantly upon payment confirmation. You will receive immediate access to all membership benefits and features through our mobile app and website.

4. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to austtaa@gmail.com with subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Include your full name, membership ID, and transaction ID
  3. Provide a detailed reason for the refund request
  4. Attach any supporting documentation (if applicable)
  5. Allow 5-7 business days for review and response

5. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, it will be processed within 7-10 business days. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the transaction. Please note that depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Donations made to AUSTTAA or scholarship funds
  • Services already rendered or events already attended
  • Digital downloads or access to online resources after use
  • Promotional or discounted memberships (unless otherwise stated)
  • Registration fees paid more than 90 days prior to refund request

7. Special Circumstances

We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. In cases of medical emergencies, family emergencies, or other extraordinary situations, please contact us directly. We will review such cases on an individual basis and may offer refunds, credits, or alternative arrangements at our discretion.

8. Payment Gateway Fees

Please note that payment gateway fees charged by SSLCOMMERZ or other payment processors are non-refundable. These fees are deducted at the time of transaction and cannot be recovered by AUSTTAA.

9. Disputes and Appeals

If your refund request is denied and you wish to appeal the decision, you may submit a written appeal to the AUSTTAA Executive Committee at austtaa@gmail.com. Appeals will be reviewed within 14 business days, and the committee's decision will be final.
